THE MALLIK FAMILY ON TOUR 2001
After phenomenal successes achieved during their recent tours
(including concerts at WOMEX Berlin, in the Ateliers d’Ethnomusicologie in Geneva, at the World Music Institute in New York City, at the BBC Proms in the London Royal Albert Hall and at the New Jazz Festival
Moers) the Indian Mallik Family of the former court of Darbhanga is visting Europe once more this year.
Bidur Mallik will be accompanied by his sons Ramkumar, Premkumar and pakhawaj- and tablaplayer Anandkumar Mallik,
Lisa Fehrenbach is at the tanpura. From beginning of June until mid July there will be concerts
and workshops all over Europe.
